Economical Melt blown filters are made by spraying melted polypropylene onto a barrel to build layers to a set density. These are the modern type of filters, which are much more useful than their string wound counterparts. Not only do they have a better depth of filtration, but they’re also more accurate and diverse in the micron ratings they’re able to produce, especially at the more delicate end of the spectrum. Washing them off does very little to their interface, so domestic users who like to wash their filters off usually prefer to stay away from them. Still, talking about price efficiency, we recommend these over string wound cartridges every time.

Pre-Filtration
Prefiltration is the most critical part of RO performance when the RO membranes themselves. Prefiltration has various stages that water involves in filter types to be treated, and this crucial performance having been disregarded in Big blue filter cartridges.
Fit in standard housing
Cartridge impeccability comes from its bonded vinyl plastisol end-caps, joining the pleat pack around its rigid inner polypropylene core. They’re designed to fit in a wide range of industrial and residential filter housings; this remarkable feature made it user friendly.
Coliform bacteria removal
Since water supply filtration is an issue of interest around Vancouver Island, Coliform bacteria removal is one of the steps that have to be taken to reach the purpose. One of the most effective treats is using some form of chlorination. Once injected into the water supply, it can eliminate all forms of coliform bacteria.
Lower operating expense
The saving costs include the reduction of these chemicals, lower power consumption and extended membrane life. They are much more effective and price-friendly than their string wound counterparts.
